Hard to get it to go into reverse

I've got a 95 with a 5 speed and 4x4 idk what gears or anything all I know it's all stock... It's hard to get it to go into reverse sometimes and will grind going into gear no matter what position the clutch is in any ideas???

The hard going into reverse seems to be pretty common with the ax-15. You can try putting it into 4th first and then reverse or just taking your foot off the clutch a bit and it should click into reverse rather easily. Mine does this sometimes when I'm parked on a hill. So far as the grinding part goes I need more info. Does it grind in all gears or are you just talking about reveres?

My ax15 has the same problem with shifting into reverse.. Ive heard it could be the slave cylinder but have not tried it! I usually just put my jeep in reverse before even turning it on! I'll be reason in on what people have to say as well

It does it only going into reverse

Go 5th to reverse works like a champ. Reverse is straight gears and no syncro. If your slave was going you wouldn't be able to get it in to gear.

For me sometimes I need to go 2nd 3rd then reverse to get it in.

As far as grinding I think it means your clutch isn't disengaging fully. Check your fluid level.

Sorry bout putting it on here thanks for the move... And I'll do that again did the other day but it was fine... It worked fine all day today. Also note it happened yesterday after pulling a tandem axle 20 ft trailer with a 14 ft aluminum boat and trailer on it.
