hacked stereo wiring
i know there was prob alot of threads on this but i did a search and didnt find exactly what i was looking for, i have a 94 cherokee sport and the previous owner hacked up the stock wiring harness, i got my cd player working in there, but for the longest time one one speaker worked (i think there is only 2) and in both of my cherokees i couldnt get the constant to work, and every web site i look the wire colors say something different for chrysler
can someone link me to some info? supposed to be bringing the girl wheelin and i need something to droun out the road noise and jeep noise on the way to the spot lol :D |

perfect, that confirms the info i got, now which fuse in the fuse box controlls the radio and cig liter? when i went up the hill climb and my cd player decided to take a leap out of my dash it worked and then blew a fuse, i checked them all and didnt see a broken fuse or burnt wires, i could have missed one though

Never trust What PO did to the stereo, or factory wiring. I hook mine up straight to the battery, Pos. & Neg. For the main (yellow wire) power supply. (you need to anyways if you put in a amp.). The (red wire) on/off power supply to a single aux. spade in the fuse box. (head unit will turn on/off with the keys then) And I run new 16ga. wire for all speakers. (No splices). Factories usually use cheap 18ga. I know what I have then, And haven't ever had to back to fix things. Save a lot of time in the long run. And better quality. I only like to do this once.
