Default Green bubbles in drained oil pan.

'91 Cherokee laredo

She has been losing a bit of coolant over long drives but I naively thought it was a leak at the water pump housing as there is some residue there.

No issues with oil on the dipstick or under the oil cap, no loss or mix of other fluids.

Stopped driving her until I could handle it but today after doing an oil change I spotted some green separation/bubbles in the oil that I drained.

I am DIY'ing this beast so looking for confirmation before I tear her down and buy a gasket kit....blown head for sure?

I have never dealt with one before, baring any further complications, how long should I allot to deal with it?

Does she have to be retimed?

Thanks in advance!

Doesn't look good.
For how long has it been losing coolant?
How much of a coolant loss?
Whats the hot oil pressure at idle?

You just might of caught this in time to save the engine assuming your oil pressure is still ok and no recent engine knocks.
Yes, i wouldn't drive it until its all figured out.

Sure looks like coolant in the oil from the pic.
Likely a cracked head or head gasket but i'd get an oil sample and send it in to get analyzed to be certain.

Additional info I should have added :

We have done a leak down test with no visible leaks outside of a loose hose clamp.

No bubbles in the coolant either.

Oil pressure at idle is around 40, and it fluctuates between 40-60 when driving.

Any chance you swapped out your coolant at some point and used that pan?

I wish, unfortunately this was a brand new catch pan.

My husband ran over my last one after changing the oil on his car.

Has to be a leaking head gasket or cracked head I would pull the head and have it magnafluxed before slapping it back together . Had a 2.5 come in yesterday similar issue took the head to be magnafluxed and there were 3 cracks along with the fact it had been milled previously farther than specs allowed it was trash. Hopefully you have much better luck .
