Grand Cherokee skid plate fit on Cherokee?

Engine: 4.0L HO, Full Exhaust, Custom intake, chipped.
Grand Cherokee skid plate fit on Cherokee?
My buddy has a 1996 Grand Cherokee Limited and he said I can have his gas tank skid plate for my 96 Cherokee.. Will it even fit? I dont wanna waste my time taking it off unless it'll fit on my Jeep.

I have one on my 2000 and yes it will fit with minimal modifications. It will mount to the frame rails like a hitch. You will need to redrill a couple holes to get it to line up so you can bolt it on.
