Grade 5 nuts on control arms OK to use?

Default Grade 5 nuts on control arms OK to use?

Getting ready now to start installing the nuts on my control arms and noticed I had gotten grade 5 locking nuts from work instead of grade 8 strangely I got grade 8 bolts and hardened washers. Should I wait until I get the grade 8 or would 5's be OK? This is not a offroard Cherokee if that matters.

I don't see an issue, but someone more knowledgeable than me may have a reason not to do it.

Yes, grade 5 are just fine. Anything over that is overkill. Consider what you are bolting the control arms to
