I'm sure this has been answered before, but I noticed after doing my 3" lift the angle between the transfer case, driveshaft, and differential is now pretty steep. I know that I can do a transfer case drop if need be, but can you tell from looking at these pictures if I'll need one. I just finished my lift and haven't driven it at high speeds yet, but if it will be an issue, I may just do the transfer case drop. I just didn't really think it was necessary on only a 3"lift. If it matters, I have a 2001 limited. Thanks for any input!

Drive it and find out. You need to measure the angles and get shims for the rear axel. TC drop may also be needed or SYE. Output of TC and the pinion should be parallel.

You want your drive shaft to have as little as angle as possible. You're shooting about 20 degrees I'd guess. A tcase drop may help. Keep in mind though even at the angle you're at may NOT cause vibes, but probably will in time.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just have to drive it for a while and find out.

Please let us know how it goes, I'm curious to see what happens because I plan on lifting my xj soon and I don't want to run into any problems. Good luck.
