It's on the steering column. You have to remove the covers off the steering column to get at it.

It is described in your copy of the Factory Service Manual.

The intermittent wipe mode is provided by
delay logic and relay control circuitry contained
within the intermittent wiper/washer switch. The
intermittent wipe relay is also contained within the switch. From FSM.

This is on my 2000, do not know is yours is different.

Go to this website and download a FSM for your XJ. Only $7.95.

http://www.pacificcoastmanuals.com/j...e_manuals.html

The manuals are pretty good actually.

I only have one complaint: I bought a 1996 FSM and it turned out to be a 1997 FSM. Excellent manual however, and I need one anyway.

If you do download a manual, go to Chapter 8K. It will show you all about the wiper system.

Or better, go here: http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/vbindex.php

Go to the right on the homepage and scroll down a little....there you find the pre and post update cherokee FSM's (as well as some others)..for free!

yw.

EDIT: just now see you already paid for one...too bad, could have gone towards your next fix
