Default godda ask, 90 xj w/ power/comfort switch

so my buddy got a 90 xj with the power/comfort switch for his transmission...im wondering what this actually does...and how it switches between the two...and i have a 92 and i want one!!!
is there any way to make mine do it too? haha

does it just change the shift points? or does it do something else also?

it makes the tranny shift at lower rpms giving smoother shifts but it just makes the engine work harder. keep it in power mode (btw that is what your jeep is currently in)

comfort = lower shift points
power = normal tranny

comfort = lower shift points
power = normal tranny x2 On that, I believe that was only offered in '89, '90, '91. And changed in '92. I've only used it once, pulling a boat trailer through some pretty hilly country side. As a DD (I usually left it in comfort.)

My jeep has got this switch. For daily driven, what position should I leave it in?

When would comfort be used? (what conditions)

P.S. Gotta love reviven old threads lol.

X2, I've heard the comfort mode allows slippage shortening trans life.
