Default Gibson exhaust and k&n cold air question

Purchased a gibson exhaust snd k&n cold air intake on ebay. Unfortunatly i noticed today it says they fit a 2000-2001 xj but mine is a 99 xj. Will i not be able to use either one? And if not why

What do you mean by Gibson exhaust? Is it a whole system from the header down or is it just muffler and tail pipe?

Actually its just muffler back...i know that i can make that work but the cold air intake i wonder if it will bolt up right...im not sure if anything is different under the hood of a 2000 xj

Do you already have the parts? If so the fastest way to find out is to see if it matches up at least with the cold air intake. I'm not sure from what year to what year would work to be honest.

The K&N is part#57-1518 right? It will fit just fine. I cant really tell you for sure about your exhaust though.

I have that same intake on my '96. It has a small whistle at higher RPMs, I love it. If you are unsure about fitment, just take off the stock airbox and try it on! Simple to do - it's just a few bolts and clips (which can be taken off by hand)

I don't know about the cold air intake but I don't see why it wouldn't fit. As for the exhaust it should fit with no problem. The only thing that's different on the 2000- is the exhaust manifold because of the California emmisions
