ghost rider?
when i put my xj into drive it automatically begins to pull not fast but pull to the point where i need to apply breaks whenever im in drive. i can figure what it would be?

You're saying it rolls forward when it's in drive with your foot off the brake?
Every automatic car I've ever owned does that, including my Cherokee... Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

If it's an auto it will always pull. But i think what might be happening with you is that your engaging the cruise control accidentally, My gf did that with her jeep a lot lol. What will happen is when you let off the gas and slow down she will start going back up to that speed automaticly.
Btw, it would be ghost driver, idk how i would deal with a flaming headed skeletons in biker gear and chains sitting next to me lol.

Lol or did you not like the flaming skeleton?
Did you check your cruise control? it could be engaging still, or you can make sure your brakes are at the right pressure. Sometimes it may feel like its pulling harder if the brakes are slipping.

no its not idling high and yes i know all auto's have a slight oull when in drive but when i engage into drive its a fairly hard thud and then it pulls faster than any auto ive ever driven maybe its just something i have to get used to but when i engage into gear its a fairly hard shift and sudden pull
