If you go with this idea you're gonna have to upgrade your electrical system. The stock Jeep alt pumps 90 amps... the taurus e-fan takes 100amps to start up and 60 amps to keep going

Keep the power steering!!! Would make turning big tires a hell of a job. Why do you think there is hydro assist systems out there. Help turn them big *****es

If you wanna simplify all the wiring junk, the only way to do that is to swap a old school 350 in there and run it carbed. Less wires, less electrics,.. simple to work on

Im going to do the stupid simple setup on my LS1 Carb'd or propane mixer'd and as simple as possible. Im going to do that to the whole damn rig tho. I simplified the wiring harness in the rear last night.. Removed all the wiper mechanism, all the hose and wiring for it and also the wiring for the keyless crap on the hatch.. I bet the hatch lost like 15 pounds, i opened it for the first time and it amost took my head off.. I was also surprised to see that mine has no defogger..

Under the hood i removed all the plastic bottle crap.. All the AC crap, all the battery box and air box crap, only thing i will have will be the fuse panels and steering box.. I am going to make the factory power steering work with the LS1. Make some brackets and mount a 180 amp old School one wire GM alternator too.. Should be simple then..

Whats fun is that i have a Whole lot of parts from misc gms laying around (as my wife will tell you) so i can piece together anything!!!

I got a elect fan from a pt crusier had to cut it to fit but it works great. removed the AC pulled all the vac lines to the vac disco. removed the air box, mine is a 90 so I converted to an open colling system, took the old preasure bottle out there is lot more room now.
