Default getting rid of AC

I'm getting rid of the AC compressor in my '99 xj 4.0.

I need a non-AC idler, bracket, and bolts for this application
('99 cherokee 4.0)

Haven't been able to locate any non-AC cherokees in junkyards around here.

Any source for these that anyone knows of?
Part numbers specific for a '99 4.0?

not likely to find something like that at a regular parts store. i dont suppose you could just remove the compressor and get a shorter belt.

Why get rid of it? Convert it to an air-pump.

No. Non-A/C cherokees with the 4.0 have a special idler, bracket, and shorter bolts for the bracket.

Don't need an air pump. Just want some more room under the hood.

Yes, I need the part #. That would be great.

I've been searching their online catalog, and can't find the A/C delete kit and I called the local AutoZone and they were of no help.

OK, thanks. It lists the pulley for a '91 cherokee with a 4.0, but not for a '99. The pulley bolts to the compressor bracket, so perhaps a '99 has a different bracket. Anyone know?

Motormite / A/C Compressor Bypass Pulley
Part Number: 34171

Notes: Bolts directly to AC compressor bracket use as replacement for a seized AC compressor and use original belt

Other websites list this as fitting only 1991-1995 cherokees.

Default A/C removal

I just did my 88 I took a fan bracket(the thing under the compressor ) from a 1991 and up Cherokee and used the A/C removal pulley from auto zone ......the A/C removal pulley I got said it worked for any 1991 and newer Cherokee and 1993-1998 grand Cherokee with the 4.0...the only complaint I have is the bolts that came with the pulley kit were to long and were poor quality ( I broke one off in the fan bracket and had to go back to pull a part and get another one) it was only 6 bucks for the bracket at the junk yard and 39.99 for the pulley and you still get to run the same belt as before so if you are wheelin with some other cherokees and yours breaks you are not trying to find a special length belt odds are someone in the group is prepared and has a spare

Thanks.

The AutoZone webpage lists that idler pulley as only for '91-'95 cherokees, but here's a guy who has it on a '96 cherokee and it works fine:
