Getting only heat no air!

1999 Cherokee sport just started getting colder down south so I tuned on heat it works great . Now I'm cruising down road and switch dial to ac nothing but heAt ! I'm guessing heater control valve stuck? Where is it on a 1999 model can't find under hood or glovebox help I'm hot!!

It doesn't have one. The temp is controlled by doors inside the HVAC case.

Regroup.

With winter on its way, why worry about AC.

If it's that much of an issue, the Blend-Air Door actuator is probably not working.

Your model year has an electric Blend-Air Door actuator, which can be checked visually to see if it's working.

Search this forum for procedures on how to check it out. I've posted the procedures several times and am burned out right now and just want to drink beer...

Well if it's getting cold don't you want the heat and not the AC? Sorry I'm just being a smart a$$!
Like Bustedback said you don't have a heater control valve. The temp is controlled by doors. You can pop you head under the dash and see if it's moving whan you adjust the controller.

jacksonbase,

Here's a thread that tells you how to check your Blend-Air Door.

Go to post #13.

Miller time!
Pulled motor off it worked fine
Blend door has a catch in it about 1/2 way thru the hot mode
It gets stuck if turned all the way full hot
Not sure if it can be fixed I will make sure it doesn't go to full hot
Thx all

The door actuator only turns 90 degrees.
