Nee Belt help!
I want to drop the A/C Compressor and run a Electric fan(In order to get less pull on the engine and better cooling, and I do not need a broken a/c anyways) but have not figured out how to run the belt and what size belt to use. Any one done this are have any helpful links?

Thanks for your help al2ride, but I got a better idea and after some searching I found some guys who have done it. I had the idea to put the Alt. were the A/C once was and get rid of the all other pulleys(Fan,idler thingy,& A/C). They also make a a/c delete bracket that can be bought but I figured this would be a better use of the space and get the alt up out of harms way. But I now need a a/c bracket from a renix 4.0 (I think) and a extra alt. bracket. here are a few pics.
Here is one of a guy with two alt.'s

The delete is defiantly the easier way, but I want to move the Alternator from the bottom (were it is always in the water and mud of the trails) up to were the a/c compressor once was. I would also need the Renix bracket anyway to use the delete. All I need is a regular a/c compressor bracket from a Renix I6. As for the belt I found out that all I have to know is the length and I can get one of just about any lenght from NAPA. With the condenser off the front of the Radiator you realize just how small the 4.0 radiator is. I think losing that condenser will lower the engine temp cause air should get to the Radiator alot easier now.

What's the point of two alternators in that guy's pic? Wouldn't a dual-battery manager with a single good alternator be more practical?

Well you can use one as a back up but you can use them in series to weld on the trail. Plus it makes more since to have a spare alt. then a A/C compressor that does not work.

The delete bracket is rather rare. I have only seen one on all the Renix motors that I have ever seen and that was a RHD ex-postal fleet Jeep.

If you are real handy with that welder, you should be able to convert it to a top alternator, or perhaps you should get YJ brackets and convert it that way. But I hear you have to get them all.

Yea I looked at the YJ stuff and welding is just to big of a PITA. But with the stock a/c bracket from a renix I can buy a delete bracket or use the front alt/ bracket on the rear of the alt and put it were the a/c would go. It is not that hard to understand, then measure and get a s-belt from napa.

Man, now you gave me a new project.
I've been waiting to move the Alternator and get rid of the AC. Now I see how..
