General Questions and Replacement Parts
Hello! I have a red 1999 Jeep Cherokee, 4.0 automatic. Its lifted 3inches, has 31in tires on it. I freaking love this jeep, i did all the work myself and cannot fathom getting rid of it. Unfortunately its now starting to become unreliable. It has around 190k. Ever since i have bought it it has never broken down on me, except for the last month it has left me stranded, twice! Both easy issues, the first one was a bad radiator cap, and the second my alternator went.
Make a long story short i am wondering what other parts i should replace before it leaves me stranded again. While i have the money and the time, what parts are prone to go out and i should just replace now before it breaks. Thanks!

Sounds like you have a great vehicle, if that's all the trouble you've had
with it. Since the Jeep is nearly 20 years old, most anything can be suspect,
so the list would be long. It would get pretty expensive to pre-empt every
problem. Put your money in the bank so it will be there when you need it.
The main idea is to never skimp on regular maintenance: tune-ups, brakes,
cooling system, suspension and steering parts. Keep the cooling system in
tip-top shape and you'll avoid many other problems.
You've had your Jeep long enough to get used to its sounds and its feel.
If anything ever seems to sound or feel different, check it out.
I get under the Jeep from time to time and look at the drivetrain, the
suspension, the steering, the frame, the floor pans, brake lines, etc.
and find what is leaking, loose, bent, or cracked.
If your Jeep has a problem you can't solve, search the forum for the
subject and then if necessary, post a question and maybe pictures to
the forum.

Spend a good hour underneath your Jeep. Inspect all of your hoses, suspension, brake lines etc. Anything that looks old inspect further.
The answer to your question depends on what you've done previously. Think about the last time you replaced your
Fluids
filters
Spark plugs
fuel injectors
Serpentine belt.
Basically anytime you feel something might need to be replaced. Research how to diagnose it, and replace if needed.
190k isn't too high. As long as you take care of her she should last you
