Gearing Question

Alright so after having my 33s for a little bit now the gas milage is absolutely killing me because i do a lot of driving everyday for school

my question is for a 33x12.50, what would be the best gears for doing a lot of driving and trying to get the best milage...4.11s or 4.56s?
thanks in advance for any help

I haven't regeared yet either, but I found this somewhere. Your selection of gears will depend on what kind of axles, and what kind of carriers you have, so not every gear on this chart may apply. If you have an AW4 tranny, I think,(don't quote me) 3rd gear is 1:1, which is what this chart is based on. If your going for less power, and more daily driving, hug the yellow numbers.

First post for me, hope I can be helpful!

Go with the 4.56's. If you keep your speed down and use the throttle properly you will increase gas milage and perform better offroad.

I have 4.56 with 35s and wish I had 4.88

not sure where i got the info from but i remember reading that 410s where like 95-98% of stock and 456s where like 112% or something like that. Id say go for 410s.

I havent regeared yet but have the front 410s sitting so im not saying from experience im basing off what i read (waiting for 8.8 install)

thanks for the responses, i'm only asking because the prices for 4.11s and 4.56s are both the same so i'm just wondering if 4.56s would be too much

if you have an automatic go with the 4.56's, if it's a manual go with the 4.10's

x2 that.. I didnt mention that I have a manual (with 4.56) should have gone steeper..

4.10s are easier to come by in stock axles for an easier and cheaper swap. they came stock in all or most 4cyl model jeeps.

but if you're gonna regear your axles, go with 4.56 or 4.88.
4.88 are a little steep for 33's, but leaves you room for larger size tires.

yea i was originally just going to snag the gears out of a 4cyl but then i found gears online for i think around 300 shipped for noth 4.11s and 4.56s so i was just curious what everyone thought would be the best, oh and yes i do have an automatic so its looking like i'm going to go with the 4.56s
