Default Gear shift handle and linkage

2000 Cherokee Sport, 4.0 liter. I broke the handle off my gear shifter. It looks like I need another complete gear shifter handle and from what I understand, there is a plastic tube type thing that runs down the stem. I can shift my Jeep by pushing the exposed white plastic piece in the stem. I believe I need that whole plastic piece as well as a new gear shift handle. Does anyone know where I can find the parts online and what they are called? Or part numbers would be great.
thank you for any assistance

Just get a replacement handle at the junkyard. They pull right off.

I bought a leather covered handle on Amazon for mine. Fits perfectly!
