Gas mileage
My wife, who claimed the Jeep a few weeks after I acquired it ( and after she drove it) checked the as mileage twice, and came up with just over 19 MPG.
Is that about normal for a 4X4 XJ Country ?
The fun part was when she tried to check mileage the first time....she didn't know that one of the kids put more gas in it, and the mileage came out to over 100 MPG

01 Sport w/ 241k
I have an unmolested 2001 sport, 4.0, automatic with 241k miles on it.
When I got it 3 months ago the cruise didn't work, nor did the heater AKA the usual vacuum tubing issues.
I drive 50 miles each way for work, many miles at 80MPH freeway speeds.
While the cruise was broken, vacuum was leaking, I got 24 MPG.
After I fixed the cruise (repaired the vacuum leak) I'm getting 19 MPG.
Although the commuting is a large portion of my driving I also use it around town and for drives in the country and regular daily errands.
