Its probably been asked before but I'm pretty new to the forum. I've got a 96 and my gas gauge is pretty crazy. When I fill it up it'll read about 7/8 but then I drive for 5 minutes and it reads 1/2. Then a couple days and/or miles later it could be reading anywhere between 1/2 and empty. Right now I'm taking the math route and taking 14mpg(less than I'm getting) and doing the math for my 20 gallon take. It doesn't have a trip odo. Is there an easy fix or am I pulling my tank and swapping pumps?

More than likely you'll be replacing the sending unit in the tank.
