Fuse Panel\Dome Light
I have just bought my first Jeep Cherokee. It's a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I love it! I have one issue though and that is that my dome ligths won't work. I looked online and sure enough I was missing a fuse for the "9" slot on my fuse panel. I put a new fuse in and it STILL doesn't work. I replaced the bulbs and still to no avail. Does anyone know what my next step is to fix this? The windows are tinted and it's hard to search through my car at night, small problem I know but if it's small problem I just want to fix it lol. Please help

I'm guessing you're sure the bulbs are good.
...and that the lights not working when you open the passenger door either.
Grab the **** that turns on the headlights on and turn it all the way counter clockwise until it clicks. If the lights came on there's something up with the door switches,
if they didn't come on there's something up with the connector that supplies power to the domes.
According to the owners manual that came with my 96, it's actually a 10a fuse in slot #9 and the factory radio, clock, and glove box light are also on that circuit.
...but since you didn't mention any trouble with those items, I kind-a don't think it's the fuse.
(fuse 5 is the blower on a 96)

I have done all of the options you all have mentioned (turned the light **** all the way, doors open, etc.). I replaced the fuse in slot 9 with a red 10 and still nothing. I replaced the bulb in the glove compartment and still nothing for that. I should say that I have an after market radio head in my jeep. Could that be the problem?

Might be that something got cut or unplugged when the the new radio went in.
This is logically the best place to start but it's going to be a major pain to track down.
You're going to have to pull the radio out far enough to check the wires back there and see what happened.
You got a multi-meter or a probe? You may have to do some voltage checks if the problem isn't obvious.

They may of had that fuse pulled for a reason. My 1994 grand cherokee had a fuse under the hood that also had control of the dome lights.
