fuel rail

Hi,
I have recently changed the fuel rail on my 2000 jeep cherokee classic...

The original fuel rail has a damper in the middle of the rail

The one I replaced it with doesn't have a damper on it...

Now it throws a p0132 code... could it be that only a fuel rail with a fuel damper would work...or do I need to replace the front 02 sensor?

Thank You

You don't need a fuel rail damper. Dampers are just a place waiting for a fire to happen anyway.

P0132 may be a defective upstream O2S, but check the wiring harness that comes from/goes to the O2S and snakes its way accross the intake manifold for chafing. Common fault. Also, someone may have buggered up the O2S wiring as it enters the fuel rail manifold.

Also check the O2S connector for corrosion and/or moisture intrusion.
