Default Fuel pump not working need help

I've had a 93 Cherokee sport n I love it, it's just beginning to need too many parts, so I just got a 97. Every thing else seems to work, engine turns n will run for a second when I spray starting fluid into the intake. But the engine is not getting fuel. When I turn the key on. I do not hear the fuel pump run as I do w the 93. There was a fuse box issue where the wires I suppose began to fall out of the box so I pulled the out making sure they were in correct order directly connected the relay fuse. But the pump still isn't coming on. One question I have is is there a ground for the middle prong of the relay that may have been broken? Another question is could the ecu be bad or? I need some help guys I'm not sure where to go for my next step... Thanks...

First check the fuses. If they are all good then.

Climb under the jeep with it in park or out of gear and the wheel blocked. Disconnect the power connector for the fuel pump, and use a test light to check for power. Then you need somone to toggle the key off and on to see if the light comes on. If you dont have power they you can check the relay. I beleive there is on on the driver side way up under the dash. If there is power you need a new pump.

Ecu very seldom goes bad, might check fuse to relay and relay and fuel pressure - best is like ITAJEEPXTHING jested that you can start at the source of the problem work back.

Aight guys, did some more tinkering and found out the relays working and there is power in the plug going to the fuel pump, so I guess that concludes that the pump is worthless right?
