Fuel pump issues
To make a long story short, the wiring harness burned up near the back seat. I rewired everything, but couldn't get power to the fuel pump. I ended up replacing relay and fuses that were toast and still no power. When hooked up straight to battery to see if it would work, it fired right up. So I tried going from the fuse block under dash and hooking it up to one where there was power when ignition was on, but no luck. So I ended up hooking up a toggle switch from the battery to the pump and when I flip the switch it runs and never shuts off and won't start. Before when I hooked to the battery it would run for a second as if it primed up and then quit. No doesn't seem to prime. Any suggestions on what to do. I want to drive this thing again!!! Thank you

The year of your Jeep is critical info here. The 97+ pump setup is drastically different than the older years'.
Personally, I would figure out why your repair of the original wiring wasn't working and correct it so you're not messing with toggle switch hacks.
