my jeep xj 93, manual 2.5 having some idle issue when start up and when I engage 1st gear and release clutch the engine stall.when I want to restart it cranking long to start. when engine warm up no issue..

 

 

No code or CEL... I checked my fuel pressure and its aroun 22 psi..

Is this with motor running ? Pressure should be deff higher around 39 when running an 45 when not.

 

Yes when engine running.. When rev engine the pressure reducing to 20 psi..when I rev the engine I can hear pop sound from the exhaust..

 

What happen to pressure when vacuum line or regulator is disconnected ?

 

It remain same.. No difference in pressure..

 

Sounds like pumps on its way out pressure should of went up. Seeing its a 93 replacing pump and fuel filter would be my first step. Buying a complete module makes the job much simpler just plug and play. Try finding a name brand is recommend .
