Hey guys, I just recently purchased an '88 Cherokee 4cyl 2.5L for a little bit of offroad fun. From the info I have gathered on here so far, I'm pretty sure my fuel pump is about to take a **** on me. Now I have found one online that I was about to order along with a new exhaust manifold to replace my cracked/leaking stock one.

It says in the listing that it will fit the 94-96 2.5L Cherokee.

Now a bunch of other parts I have seen that parts are listed that they will fit from about '87-'97 (I think).

Is the fuel pump the same story? Just for reference, here's the listing...

A newer fuel pump will not work on an older cherokee. I have a fuel pump/sending unit from a newer cherokee on a renix and the gauge reads backwards. I guess you could say the pump works "fine..."
