Fuel Leak on a '91 XJ

Fuel Leak on a '91 XJ
My 91' XJ (206,000+ mi) has a small fuel leak that I just discovered today, doesn't seem to be affecting her but definitely something I want to take care of before it becomes a big problem! I ducked underneath her and found where the leak is coming from, it's a small cylindrical object tucked into the rear driver's side wheel well (or roughly in that vicinity) inserted in the fuel line. What I want to know is A. What is that part? (I'm guessing a fuel pump or filter) and B. Roughly how much would a new one be?

looks like a fuel filter to me, diry too. Be a good idea to replace it, couldnt tell you a price, im sure its different where ever you shop but no more than $20.
