Fuel Leak

I discovered a fuel leak and the people at AutoZone are clueless as to what the part is called.

The leak is right where the fuel line connects to a 2-step tapered piece that comes off th "T" on the fuel rail. Not really sure how this comes off and did not want to just tug on it and end up hosed.

Anyone know what that part is that might be causing it to leak? Is there an o-ring in there or something?

Thanks

Without a picture I can't be for sure, but here's a picture of the tool you need to disconnect your fuel line. They slide up under the line coming from the fuel tank and release it from the fuel rail.

Are you talking about the part that I have circled?

Yes that is it, I will take a pic of mine, mine does not have that black thing across the top. Thank you guys for the help, it is appreciated!

The black clip just pops off, I've seen them with it or with out. All the part stores have those different colored disconnect tools, just buy the assortment (couple of bucks) use the one that fits the best on your fuel line, push it out towards your fender away from the engine and it will just pop apart.

What is under there that would cause it to leak, is there an o-ring or something?

The connector on the fuel line can be replaced, when you get it apart you will be able to see inside. I don't remember being able to replace any o rings, you just replace fuel line side connector
