Fuel issue...
95 Cherokee 4.0L
I'm feeling defeated. I haven't been able to drive my jeep in over a month and it started to stall out when I was driving to work one morning. I was able to crank it up and keep driving but it would continue to stall about every mile or so. I had to get it towed back to my house it wouldn't stay running. I replaced the fuel filter fuel pump fuel pressure regulator and pump relay. It would run for about four seconds been shut off. I just replaced the crankshaft positioning sensor it runs longer but it continues to shut off when I try and give it gas.
The fuel pump is coming on
I have fuel at the regulator and return line but nothing is coming out at the bleed off on the rail..
when I installed the fuel pressure regulator the small o ring fell off and I was unable to find it it's not leaking fue. Could that be my issue?

I haven't checked the fuel pressure.. when I was first having the issue there was a lot of fuel at the bleed off. After trying to crank it multiple times no fuel came out. Then I replaced the pump and regulator. The fuel looked extremely dirty when I replaced the filter.
Could the fuel rail be clogged?

It's doubtful that the fuel rail is so clogged that no fuel comes out of the shrader valve at all.
It is more likely that the fuel pressure regulator is malfunctioning, or was improperly installed. Or that the shrader valve itself is not functioning properly.
If the pump is on, and you have fuel at the regulator (how did you confirm this?), but not at the test port (shrader valve), then it is time to look at the fuel pressure regulator again.

Took fuel pressure regulator out. Left lines connected to the rail. Had a buddy switch ignition on and fuel shot out everywhere. Good thing I had a cup under it and a few rags.

That is a good indication then that the fuel is not getting past the regulator when it is installed.
If you know that your regulator is missing some item (the o-ring getting lost), I would start there. Typically, items like this are not optional.

Most NAPAs or even like an ACE hardware will have decent Oring selections. You'll have to just try to find something to match. Often you can buy a small case of assorted sizes for pretty cheap. Pretty handy to have in the garage.
