Default Front wipers and cleaner spray not functioning

Front windshield wipers (and cleaner fluid spray) will not activate. I checked the fuses near passenger side feet - and there is no "30" as in the diagram. Checked whatever was near and nothing was burned out. Checked under hood, engine compartment, and see no fuse/circuit breaker identified as such. Uncertain how to proceed - might it still be something relatively simply in one of these fuse boxes - if so, which to check as none are identified as wipers (and charts saying it's 30 do not match mine - there is no 30 in that spot). Please advise. Thank you!
This is a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport.

The way I read the FSM is it's Circuit Breaker #30 and it's 20 amps (upper right corner of junction block, silver looking box).

Yes, but there is nothing located in that spot in mine. Nothing at all located there - everything else matches. No circuit breaker is in that location - no #30 - nothing there at all. So, wondering where is the one that controls this? And/or anything else I can check for as to why this is not working suddenly? I want to check this first - however, see no circuit breaker that controls it. Thank you.

I'm confused. According to the diagram, this CB provides the power to the washer pumps when you activate it with the switch. Did it work previously and now, suddenly, it doesn't?

There is no CB located here - I even took off the whole panel and it looks just like diagrams we use except there is no 30 there - no place for one - and nothing similar elsewhere - it matches the diagram except for that CB which does not exist on mine. I did some searching online and found others have this XJ have also discovered this - some then located it in the engine fuse box - but when I looked there am uncertain as no identifications on them. Again, where it says it would be - it is not - no receptacle for one - same diagram without that CB is how it is on mine (and, again, read online in various places that some do not have it located there).

No modifications. Just does not have one in that location. Thus, it must be in the power distribution box in the engine - it is not in the interior fuse box as the diagram shows. However, see no identification on the individual ones in the compartment in the engine. Any suggestions on how I could proceed? Thank you.

One page from the 2001 Factory Service Manual says it all.

The wiper is provided power from CB30. A 30amp fuse can be substituted for the CB. The fuse may blow when the wipers are under heavy load (ie. heavy wet snow). Circuit breakers will fail if they have been cycled to many times. The blower in my motorhome would stop running when on high and restart randomly. I replaced the CB with a fuse and I haven't had a problem since.

Fuses are better protection than CBs. CBs are used for operator convenience on high amp motors that can stall and draw more amps than the circuit can tolerate.
