Front wheel bearing

Im looking for the proper way to set the bearing pre-load for the fron wheel bearing. I just did ball joints and u-joints, cant afford to burn-out a wheel bearing!

You don't really need to worry about that, there is a spacer between the bearings that sets the preload, just get the axle nut good and tight and don't forget to use a new cotter pin.

This is a 4x4, right?

A UNIT bearing assembly just requires the axle nut to be torqued to 175 ft-lbs.
