front sway bar '99 XJ
I have recently bought a '99 XJ that a the previous owner wrecked, breaking the front axle tube in, bashing up the headlight hood and winsheild....also breaking the front sway-bar. My question is, how will this thing act at highway speeds without the front sway bar? I will get one if needed but dont want to buy one if its not needed. Oh yea it has rusty's 3" springs and about 3" of spacers with 33's.
I did do a search and found more info about the rear sway bar being took off, (headed outside to if it has a rear on it still)

I broke both my front sway bar end links and am currently driving without the front sway bar. Like he said...it sways. It floats all over the road and has LOTS of body roll. I had to swerve to avoid something in the road the other day and it was wet out. The back end slid out and I went to correct it like I usually do and in turned into a game of "let's see if my can steer the XJ back and forth without hitting the curbs while the front end slides all over the place". It wasn't too fun, especially since I had minimal time to correct it since there was a car in the other lane a little bit down the road. Pretty much, there was so much body roll that when I ripped the wheel back, the body rolled and took all the weight off making the front slide all over the place...You want a front sway bar for daily driving.
