If you are not sure of the grill that you have in you bottom pick. The easiest way is just the grill and try it. It only has 4 screws on the to that holds it on.

Should mount right on no problem. I disliked my chrome look and painted the chrome on my jeep.

awesome thanks guys, hopefully it works out, i know it seems to be a simple fix, but my grill that i have on now its a little more complicated to take off because whom ever had it before ghetto rigged the top four screws, the ones on the side are fine though

freegdr 10-02-2012 06:24 PM

if i remember correctly gonna have to use you whole front from yours except grill because of the one ps trim unless you install whole header and paint it to match xj color.

WhiskeyRivers 10-02-2012 06:34 PM

Yea im installing the whole one piece onto the xj and painting the top trim to white so it matches up, That will work ? @FreeGDR

freegdr 10-02-2012 06:37 PM

WhiskeyRivers 10-02-2012 06:41 PM

Plastidip your factory grille. You can leave it on the vehicle and do it. Google plastidip for some YouTube videos.

Thank you freedgr for pointing out the grill differences. Sooo many people completely overlook that. It's the only thing that distinguishes pre-91 XJs from the ones up to 94. After that they got the 3rd taillight and then the 98-01 bodystyle.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I want to make my chrome bumper, grille, and headlight surronds black. Should I just paint them or plastidip them? Which would last longer and be easier?
