Front end wobble
To add to my vibration issues with my 01 Cherokee, I also have a wobble that can be felt in the steering wheel and front seat at 55 mph. Its not noticeable before that speed and goes away around 60 mph.So far Ive had the tires balanced, then road force balanced, tried new rims and even another set of rims with different tires. The problem remains. I had the shop that balanced the tires check the front end but they said it was good. Obviously it not rims or tires so whats next on the list?

i had tires that shook the car at a narrow band of speed. below and above it was ok.
a tire or front end shop should be able to find it.
on one it was the tire belts shifted?? tires balanced but at that? speed it did the wiggle wobble!!
literaly wiggled ledft to right, made me dizzy.

There are lots of causes for vibrations like that. The most likely is a
bad tire or rim but since you've had that checked out, look at the
front end yourself.
One way to check for play in the front end is park the Jeep on some
gravel or sand, lie down in front of it, have someone start the Jeep
and simply turn the wheel lock-to-lock slowly several times. Observe
the tie rod sockets for any play and listen for any pops or noises
coming from either end of the track bar or the control arm bushings.
By doing this at different times I have found loose or bad CA bushings,
loose track bar axle end bolt, loose frame mount bolts, and a
loose track bar socket. The upper control arm bushings tend
to be neglected because they are hard to get at.
So, make sure the track bar is tight at the axle end and also the
frame end. If you have the stock track bar, tighten all 6 bolts in the
frame bracket and also the socket.
You could also check the ball joints for play. Jack up a front wheel
and grab the tire at the 6 and 12 o'clock positions and shake it. If it
moves, time for new ball joints. While you are at it, check the wheel
u-joints, too.
