front ds swap
so i know thatr if i do a hack and tap i can us a front ds as my rear right? if so is a front drive shaft stong enough to trust. i am getting ready to put either a 4.5 or 5.5 inch lift on. this is mostly a dd but will be doing some light trail driving...it is a 2001 sport. i need to know cause im in hs so money is kinda a problem but at the same time if it is unsafe i am goin to wait and save a bit more cash and do it right. thanks

your front drive shaft is stronger then your rear. it will be fine. it is what i am using, well actually i use one out of a 2002 jeep grand cherokee V8 4x4...but that is only like an inch longer. it will be fine

I use a front shaft from a GC as well. It is a little longer. This might help you get an idea of what to look for. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/sye...t-shaft-33705/
