Front driveshaft spins in 2 wheel drive

I have been told that if my front driveshaft turns there is a lsd or locker in the front diff, any truth to this? I just got this thing and have not popped of the front cover yet.

This is normal for 91+ models, regardless of locker.

jack up the front and turn the wheel by hand. If left and right turnt he same way lsd or lock if one goes forward and the other reverse. Then open diff.
