Front dana 30 upper control arm bushing outer shell

Does anyone know if I can buy new front dana 30 upper control arm bushing outer shells? The kits don't come with one and my axle doesn't have any of the outer metal shells.

Are you getting original style bushings or poly?

iansmellis Nov 11, 2011 09:46 PM

Polyurethane

You shouldn't need any shell. Press em in as is.

Well the instructions say I need them and my axle doesn't have them in there.

Never seen that. You tube installing poly bushings or control ARM bushings. You'll find out.99% sure you don't need em. You can't get em and it wouldn't make sense

sooo did you just use a stock rubber and ditch the polyurethane? or did you find a sleeve for it. i was planning on replacing mine soon since i have the same poly bushings in my garage.

I took the sleeves off my 2WD front tubes and burned the rubber out of them...burning the rubber out seems to be the best option, there's no easy way to remove the bushing from the sleeve.
