I need to know if the front bumper on a 1996 Cherokee Country can be adjusted by loosening a bolt and sliding the bumper forward? I've never adjust a bumper on an XJ, but I have on other vehicles, Chevy Suburban and VW Rabbit.

The front bumper on the passenger side is a bit pushed approximately 2", while the driver side looks fine. I purchased my XJ at an auction as is, so I don't know anything about the collision that caused the front bumper to get out of align. However, there is no visible damage to the bumper or body, other than being pushed in a little.

 

pull the bumper to see if there is any damage to the frame. you likely just have a tweaked bumper mount. they can be easily replaced
