Default Front Brake Job-Pics and Question

96 Sport 2 Door 4.0 w/abs 4wd

Miles: 290,150

Purchased July 2013 at 196,000 miles

This is the second front brake job I have done on this in 94,000 miles. Not bad service life on the pads and rotors I figure.

But there are some wear points on the fixed parts that the pad plates push against. See here:

What I am talking about is quite visible in the center of the above picture.
Also in the following pictures:

So here is the question: Are these wear spots a problem? Are they normal for 290,000 miles and probably a half dozen brake jobs?
(There is no clacking etc when braking.)

Finished assembly before bedding in on the road:

It's a common issue. Do you have a welder, or know someone who does? It's insanely easy to fix.

Thanks. Good to know. But new question: Do I need to fix it? It gives me no trouble that I know of.

I would. Could cause the pads to stick/bind, resulting in premature wear.

Looks easy enough. Welder. Grinder. Got that. Thanks.
