Default Front Axle Vac Lines

when working on new lift tonight I noticed tje green vacuum line was broken off. I assume it has a 90 on it and plugs into side fitting. So I raised one front wheel and turned wheel to see if driveshaft turned and it did. Is this correct?

Heres a picture of correct coloring and placement of lines . When in 2wd does front shaft turn with front wheels on ground ?

Take those vac lines out and do this instead: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/showth...589&styleid=15

Much more reliable.

Pretty lame if someone did that and left the vac lines hanging there.

Imagine that....

shum8 needs to verify the front axle disconnect is indeed locked in and then plug off the vacuum source to those old lines.

Here's a diagram of vacuum lines so you know where to cap off the source:

Tonight my main concern is to see if its locked. I believe it is. If I hook up the green vac line to the side will it unlock it? And what about the cable upgrade? Are yhey worth a crap?

It's working NOW. My suggestion is to do the CAD repair and eliminate the vacuum crap. It will strand you at the most inopportune time.

Anything on the cable lock setup? Im interested in that for sure. And ny CAD repair do you mean the link? Wouldnt it be more wear on front axle to run with it locked?
