Default front axle shaft

my passenger side axle shaft u joint is broke. i was wondering if i would need to know the spline of my shaft to get the right one to replace it. and if i do how can i find out without taking my shaft completley out? thank yall for your help.

No you won't need to know the spline count to get the right U-joint.

what year is your jeep?

abs?

you have either the spicer 260 or 297

all dana30 shafts are 27 spline so that doesn't matter

i have a 95 cherokee se. and im pretty sure it has abs. thank you all for your help. this is probably the most helpful forum page ive ever been on. thanks alot yall. when i get this fixed i will have some stock wheeling pics thanks yall.

you have the spicer 297's

95 was the year they changed over to the larger u joint, but with abs you are guaranteed the larger u joint

Make sure that you have ABS because several different parts are not the same as conventional brakes.
