What are my options for a front axle? Im already upgrading my rear axle from a Dana 35 to a Chrysler 8.25 (since I already have 4:56 gears for it) what about my Dana 30? I want to upgrade that too? what are some of my options for a front axle?

 

a built C8.25 and a built D30 are about the same strength. the next step up will be a dana 44 and a 8.8 or 9" in the rear. the D30 will hold a 35" tire fine even stock.


just get an axle truss and gussets for the outter C's and cromo axle shafts and call it good

There aren't any bolt in axles that are an upgrade. Some will claim the Rubi 44 is but it's a low pinion 30 with a 44 ring gear so not any better than what you have. Like stated above the 30 will handle a 35 unless it's locked and wheeled somewhat hard.

 

Well I got 33's and I plan on locking it but locked 33's are about equal to open 35's right?
