Default Freeing CCV tube from grommet for reuse

Hi all. 99 Sport. I'm going to replace my CCV grommets (getting some blowback from the rear grommet). I have both front and rear new grommets and elbows on hand but want to use the existing vent tube to the mani.
Looking for advice re disconnecting it from current elbow without compromising its integrity...maybe a gentle solvent that wouldn't harm it? Dealer has a tube for $52 but I prefer to avoid the $$ if unnecessary.
Thanks in advance for any ideas

any kind of light oil should work to break the seal, use oil not silicone since the rubber is designed for oil

grommet dorman 42344
front valve 47079(black)
rear 47057(gray) small opening
if you can't find a front, buy an extra rear and enlarge the hole. I found these in the help section at Oreilly auto parts.

That 52 dollar tube at the dealer can be found at www.rockauto.com for less than ten bucks.

Cool. There are NAPA's everywhere @BustedBack, which breather tube ? I know I need to replace my CCV Fresh Air Hose that is coming from the air cleaner. Are they considered the same thing ?

I'm talking about the one that goes from the CCV orifice to the intake manifold. They're in the emissions section a Rockauto.

Thanks, I will check it out. I actually looked at rockauto after your other post and couldn't find it. I also realize that we aren't talking about the same part but since I am going to be there anyway.....
