found out whats wrong
took my tcase up to al's tranny shop today and he said that the low range shift fork was worn out and it cost around 500-600$ to rebuild it. so i found one in a junkyard with 93k miles for 200$ and im pickin it up tomarrrow, so i now have a good working 242 for sale...ill post in the for sale section
