Fold-down spare carrier
I fabbed up a spare tire carrier today to get me by until I have time to make a full rear bumper with a swingout carrier. I made it so it folds down and back up easily so I can still open the hatch. Havn't seen one like it so I thought I'd share the idea. Pretty simple build.

Yeah, I am planning on selling it when i build my rear bumper (probably won't be till winter). It should handle any height of tire, width will be the limiting factor, depending on backspacing. It would be easy to space it out farther if needed, though.

Unfortunatly I didn't have my camera with when I built it, but I could take some more detailed pics and explain how I did it.

That is very nice, especially for the "smaller" of the big tires. The downside to the swing down design, as I see it- are the larger tires like 33+ that get really really heavy to move all the time (I go in and out of my hatch all the time as I have a lot of my tools back there). Not so much of a problem for those of us running 31s and maybe 32s. I know when I had 36s on my Dodge 1500 those things were a BEEATCH to move around (kept my full size spare in the bed and no fun to lug it up and down!).
Sweet design, I really like the set screw to take up the receiver slop. Very nice.
