Fog light question

Hey everyone, quick question here! I have bought two different sets of fog light bulbs over the past few months and they flat out don't work in the stock lights. The normal style bulbs work just fine, but LEDs nope. I take them out and hook them to a jump box and they are fine. I know that both bulbs ground the same way (through the housing) so can't figure out what gives? Anybody have a secret to making them work? Thanks
