Default Fluid leaking at radiator cap

1996 Cherokee 4.0, coolant leaks at radiator cap, I replaced the cap, thermostat, still leaks at the cap, I looked for any kind of visible damage where the cap goes on the radiator, I see nothing, any suggestions??

I had a mystery leak for a little bit form my radiator cap. Turned out that the elbow on the underside of the overflow tank was partially clogged. It allowed some flow, so it was not an issue unless the engine was at full temp for a while. I removed the tank, cleared out the clog with compressed air and my leaking radiator cap problem went away.

New caps can also be bad . Have store pressure test them until you get a good one.....

Definitely check your overflow tank, line and connection at the rad for clogs.

Also, I bought a new mopar oem cap and still had this problem. I had to bend the metal tabs on the cap slightly to make a tighter fit.

Sshould water be furiously flowing out at the mouth of radiatior with the cap off? Is this a sign of the water pump gone bad or some kind of blockage?

So it's normal for it to be flowing out the mouth of the radiator with the cap off? If so I have no clue what else to do

After overhauling my cooling system I had that problem. It could be air in the system. That was my issue. You might need to burp it. Otherwise, there's a clog. Do all the hoses get hot?
