I noticed some fluid running down the inside of my right front tire. The inside of the axle housing is dry but it has the gear oil smell but the color is clear and it's not brake fluid. Any thoughts?

Park it on an angle and see if gear oil runs out of the tube, if so you need to replace the seal. Also I've seen a lot of people crush the tranny lines that run close to the upper control arm so you might want to check that but it'd be red.

You can't mistake the smell of gear oil...if what is running down the tire smells like gear oil, it is gear oil, which means your axle seal is leaking. On your 95 (non-disco front axle) you have to remove the differential from the differential housing to access the seal.
