Floor mat holder tab
So im to lazy right now to go snap a picture and rather yoink a pic off the interwebz, But this thing right here
I tore my carpets out long ago and forgot how it even went back on nor if it can even go back on. Anyway it can go back on? I want floor mats back in my jeep because i dont want to trash the carpets with oil from my work. I have mats right now but theyre universal mats and tend to slide up and doesnt cover where my feet go. Also its a 99 cherokee not the older style.

No, I don't lick fish.
I pretty sure it's originally inserted from the underside of the carpet. My wife's Chrysler has a tab like that.
If you don't have the hole already cut for it in your carpet, you should be able to just cut a slit with a razor knife and insert it from underneath.

I found one just lying in a Jeep at the boneyard one time. Figured I grab it in case I ever needed it. Always figured it came up through the hole in the carpet so that the plate and tab sat on top. See the first shot. And there is a slit in the carpet so the clip could be secured to the tab underneath. See the second shot. Sorry for the lousy pics but hope this get the point across.

oh sweet! thanks that helps alot! And yes i have looked at weather tech floor mats But i already had some rubber mats and thats why im asking about the tab because i wanna cut it so it doesnt slide forward like these ones do. Plus idk what the prices are for others but mine were 200 dollars.

I use Husky Liners in all my vehicles. They are cheaper and usually cover better than Weathertech. They don't look quite as nice, but they're just floor mats...

lol the only window glue that seems to hold up is the pack you find at walmart its been in the scorching, blistering, boiling, sweltering, miserable, volcanic, deathray heat of the sun and is still stuck on there. Only time i had to reapply it was when i slammed on my brakes and the stupid ladder i had in my jeep slid forward and knocked it off.

Yeah, I've tried permatex, loc-tite, and super glue brands.... followed directions to the "T".... damn things still fall off.
