Flex plate questions
When separating the engine and tranny, do I need to loosen all flex plate bolts along with the tranny bolts for it all to come apart?

No you remove the three holding it to the converter .

And you can pull the transmission and leave the TC attached to the flexplate, but I do NOT recommend it. The torque converter, filled with fluid, weighs more than the entire clutch assembly for a manual transmission by a couple of pounds, as I recall (yes, that INCLUDES the flywheel!) The transmission input shaft will hold it up while you're sticking things together, unless it's defective (in which case, it will want replacing anyhow.) |

Sorry if it's a dumb question haha but can I just undo all the flex plate bolts and of course tranny bolts and pull the motor from the tranny?
