Default first big tune up on my new jeep questions

just bought my 2000 xj sport yesterday, it has 153,000 miles on her so i was going to do a major tune up and look over. on the way home i did notice some heavy vibs at about 55-60mph, the jeep is stock and i dont think it is death wobble. any ideas?
so i am putting together a list of what to do and wanted to make sure i didnt miss anything. comments on products to use is apreciated.
ive seached and had some luck with some things but was just wanting some more opinions...
thanks in advance

new Air filter- wix
Oil- 6qts, 10w30, regular or blend?
Oil filter- Wix, Mopar
Plugs- Champion, .35?
Diff fluid-80w90 gear oil
Tranny fluid- atf+4
Transfer case fluid-auto trans fluid
check u-joints
check wheel bearings
check ball joints
check breaks
check fuel filter
lube linkage
grease fittings

just took a look and found that the tranny fluid is dirty, oil was a lil sludgy on the dipstick, and NO engine coolant!!!!! looks like the radiator was smashed into the fan at one point. so im going to replace it along with the thermostat and inspect/replace the water pump
-cfs 3-row radiator
-195 deg thermostat
-water pump
-and hoses

your xj has the new ignition, coil on plug. all you need is plugs, champion is the only way to go, gap is .035 if i remember right, might be different on the newer ignition, so look that up. diff fluid is 80w90 gear oil, trans fluid is atf+4. in my shop we use valvoline max life which covers almost all auto fluids. t case is auto trans fluid.

do the newer xj's have fuel filters? i know tj's ditched the serviceable filter.

oh, the vibe sounds like tire balance, have that checked first.

i use valvoline max life motor oil, any oil is good if you change it frequently, penzoil is perafin based, and will sludge up if not changed regularly. don't save money on filter, fram filters suck. wix or mopar are fine.

yep, thats what tire balance does. shows up at slightly higher speeds, right what you are saying, and will disappear at a higher speed. the speeds can vary per instance, but yours is classic description of out of balance tire. more specifically if you feel it in the steering wheel a front is out, and if not a rear is out. but its best to have all 4 checked.

Quadrace you need a good pump Grease Gun with a few tubes of some good grease. lots on fittings under the cherokee... craw under and spray the linkade for the 4X4 shift with some good lube like break-free or Kano kroil.....

i'd advise againts 180 t stat. 195 is what it was designed for, the emissions system needs the heat, wether you have emissions testing or not, plus you can run into poor heat in winter and sometimes in rare cases driveability and gas mileage problems with a wrong thermostat, cuz the computer is looking for operating temperature, and if you don't reach it (around 210) it will cause problems.

K&N drop in Air Filter? I've done a little research on them and probably wont buy another. I've heard the filter isnt tight enought to stop all the little particles from getting sucked into your intake.

I was looking into one for my M3, but read that the oil can can onto sensors and foul them (dont think there are any on the intake hose for Jeep, but something to think about)

I took the advice on getting a nice high quality (wix) paper air filter and save the dough for something else.

As far as the plugs I know everyone recommends Champion's. I went with NGK's as that was all that NAPA had and it seems to run fine.

.
thank you, i said that a while back, cuz i've heard the same thing and everyone jumped all over me. and jeeps don't have restrictive air intakes anyway. i wouldn't waste my money anyway, so i don't know first hand. the cost is the first thing, and if you keep up on your filter, what kinda power difference are you gonna notice, none.
